How I Achieved this Look

Lets start with my hair:

How I got this nice twist-out I started with freshly washed hair. I used Organix Coconut Milk shampoo and conditioner. I side parted my hair and sectioned it off a bit unevenly. I spritzed my hair with a bit of water and added softened pure African Shea butter to my section and first flat-twisted my hair then transitioned to a two strand twist. I left that in while I did my make-up. I'll get back to the hair part in a minute...

Make-up:

  • MAYBELLINE NEWYORK: Fit me! Shade: 355 with SPF18
  • Wet n Wild Coloricon 380B Walking  on Eggshells
  • NIKKA K High Definition Eye Shadow(not sure what the color is. Deep Hot Pink)
  • Itaolia Powder Blush 02Rose
  • REVELON Just Bitten: Frenzy
  • NYC HD  Liquid Eyeliner 889 Extra Black
  • Remy eyelashes
  • Black eyelash glue

Make-up: What I did:

First I applied the foundation with my fingertips. I read that using your fingertips is better than using a sponge because it warms up the foundation so it sticks to your skin better, plus it doesn't absorb precious product. Then I used my eyeshadow brush to apply the eyelid shadow then the crease shadow above it. I don't think I used the brow bone shadow. Maybe a little bit. I blended it, then applied that hot pink color to the crease and outter edge of my eye lid, also the tear line(I got this inspiration from an editorial photo of a model). I then applied my lashes and brush on some blush(to apply blush you make a 'C' shape from your cheek to the level of your eyes). I added my lip-stain and filled in my eyebrows a little with a dark brown pencil.

Hair continued:

Now that all my make-up was applied I began untwisting my hair. Yes, it is still slightly wet, but that's okay. It will give your hair that well moisturized look. When all the sections were untwisted I took the section that hung over my face and twisted it loosely, then I pinned it to the side(which would be the left). I pinned the right side back a little and added the flower.  I spritzed it again with a little water.

Clothes and Accessories

  • Gold glitter dress
  • Dangle earrings
  • Flower hair clip
  • Bobby pins
  • Necklace

I finished this look with a dress and necklace I borrowed from my friends with a pair of black stilettos. I am not the most advanced when it comes to looking fabulous, but this was simple enough.
